THIS WAS THE CHALLENGE
Founded by Robert Romano and Jay King, Study Sync set out to change the way 6th to 12th Grade English was being taught to address the growing concern by colleges: students were not prepared with basic English writing and reading skills. To support the new digital education platform, an integrated brand experience needed to be developed to engage students on devices they were already glued to: iphone, ipads and laptops.
HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED
The English curriculum was turned on its head, featuring a quantum leap in how students engaged with content. Over 5,000 digital assets and branded content—including Study Sync TV, the news show, The Point, Podcasts, and Explainer videos encouraging social learning, collaboration and critical thinking—helping students build a complete understanding of topics and construct informed responses to their assignments. Phew. That was a lot!
The approach worked. Study Sync, along with its partner McGraw Hill is the most succesful English curriculum in the United States and has been acquired by Imagine Learning, Inc., the largest digital education company in the U.S.
" Every time I look at StudySync I get excited - it’s designed so elegant and simple. I love it."
